AMERICAN ACADEMY FOR GIRLS

Principal’s Message

Welcome to the 2018-2019 academic year at AAG High School!  I have no doubt this year will be an exciting, challenging and rewarding one.  It is both a privilege and honor to serve as the High School Principal.

The most unique feature of The American Academy for Girls High School is its size.  Because it is a small, close knit community of young women supported by dedicated teachers and administrators we are able to easily work together, striving for excellence.  Many of our students have been at AAG since early childhood, forming and maintaining close friendships, some are made for life. These close friendships contribute to the quality of life inside the AAG school experience, operating like one large family.

The graduating class of 2019 is special to me. I began with this class as the new principal three years ago when they were just 9th graders. Our journey together has resulted in a unified and dedicated partnership, based upon improving ourselves, learning new skills and more importantly achieving our goals.  I can honestly say, the classes of 2016, 2017, 2018 and now 2019 have significantly contributed to the overall betterment of the AAG High School.  Together with our students and the remarkable work and unyielding commitment from our teachers, parents and administrators, none of this could have been made possible.

There are numerous opportunities both inside and outside the classroom for our students: AP courses taught by teachers with proven track records of former students achieving the college credit; Model United Nations traveling to New York City to experience the UN firsthand; our sports teams competing in tournaments in Italy and Bahrain; Academic Games, National Honor Society, Student Council, singing in our LOYAC Choir, and so many more.

As I remain the AAG High School Principal, I promise to continue my work in improving the high school, caring for your daughter’s well being while ensuring they receive the best possible education AAG can provide so that upon graduation they are awarded the full college and university scholarships generously given by Kuwait’s Ministry of Education.   I am grateful for this opportunity.  Thank you.

Go Warriors!
